On the Lighter Side

By Christopher R. Raines

Yesterday I posted information about how different lighting types (color temperatures, intensities, etc.) can impact the perceived color of meat.  Below is a photo I took while I was a graduate stuent at Kansas State University in its Meat Color Research Lab.  All of the lighting fixtures house fluorescent bulbs, yet one can clearly see the distinctly different light colors emitted by those different bulbs.
